We finally ate the watermelon we purchased in Uzbekistan(!), we survived the border crossing from Russia to Mongolia and Kermit is fixed and raring to go. Time to take on the steppe!
After a day of instant coffee, time trial driving and Kermit trying to fly, we're nearly there!
Day one complete of our One Steppe Beyond adventure.
I went back to London for the weekend. I bought lots of ice gems - and they were delicious.
01/01/2017 I wish I could go back to the Anna of 2015 and say "You, my dear, you need to take a chill pill. A big one!" Faced with graduation, I was convinced that my travel days were over and that wanderlust was a thing of the past - so not true. While rather unsurprisingly [...]
Mark and I managed to squeeze quite a bit into the bank holiday weekend, didn't we? *pats selves on the back* The final stop on our little tour was Munich. I used to be incredibly productive on trains (and planes actually) and clamber on board with a massive to-do [...]
"Have you been to Vienna? No? Good. We're going to Vienna". That was pretty much how the conversation went when my co-conspirator for the #12in12 challenge and full time best friend Mark invited me to Vienna for my birthday weekend. It didn't matter that I'd already ticked off two countries in May, since when did [...]
I made a pact at the start of the year to do #12in12 - by that, I mean visiting 12 countries in 12 months. My criteria for achieving this is flexible. Initially I'd hoped to do at least one country per month, ideally a new country but work and life keeps insisting on getting in [...]
